Keeping up the hot breath …

Panel discussion with Michele Bee, Martin Krenn, Elli Papakonstantinou, and Jelena Petrović. Moderation: Martin Wassermair

 –

Staircase 2, Kunsthalle Exnergasse

Opinion and participation count among the first victims of neoliberal subjugation, which also poses a great challenge for the cultural sector. Hence, political and social conflicts are unavoidable. How cultural institutions manifest as sites for the necessary negotiation of these issues is central to many of the discussions and workshops of the TEH Meeting 2016.

Building upon the resulting ideas and impulses, the panel discussion will focus on how surmounting the prevailing relations can be further anchored as a central motif of daily cultural work in the future. Because Europe needs democratic change – and thus it also needs the hot breath of active political spaces in art, culture, and media.

Moderation: Martin Wassermair
